Ħaġar Qim, Mnajdra Temples and Flat Bread Making

The megalithic temples of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra are among the best preserved and most evocative of Malta’s prehistoric sites. The temples stand on a hilltop overlooking the sea and the islet of Filfla. The surrounding landscape is typical Mediterranean garigue and spectacular in its starkness and isolation. The visitor centre, situated at the beginning of the visit to the two temples, provides background historical information on the site, through exhibitions and a film introduction inside the 4D theatre. The young visitors will take part, after visiting the temples, in a flat bread-making activity to prepare the historic bread that was traditionally eaten by the old temple inhabitants.
